The Story Behind the Rig
Built by a synth enthusiast, for the synth community.
FluxRig was born out of a simple need.
Like many of you, I'm a gear enthusiast. I love synths, drum machines, and pedals. But I realized that every time I wanted to reconfigure my studio or plan a new setup, I was stuck drawing messy diagrams on paper or staring at the back of my gear trying to remember which output went where.
So, I built a simple tool just for myself. Initially, it was just a local script to help me calculate power draw and visualize audio routing for a live set.
But as I added more gear, I needed more features. I built a database of my own devices, then added MIDI channels, then cable types. What started as a personal utility evolved into a full-fledged planner. When I realized other musicians were struggling with the exact same "cable spaghetti" problems, I decided to open it up to the world.

The Missing Manual for Your Studio
Knowledge about hardware connections is fragmented. It's buried in forum threads, YouTube comments, and PDFs.
FluxRig is the solution to the "Black Box" problem. By crowdsourcing specs and connections, we're building a living, breathing map of the hardware world. When you share a FluxRig link, you're not just showing a picture; you're sharing a blueprint that others can learn from.

The Platform Today
Not Corporate
This is a passion project. No venture capital, no aggressive corporate roadmap. Just a tool built with love for the music making workflow.
Community Powered
The database grows because of you. Every time you submit a device or validate a spec, you're helping another musician down the line.
"Thanks for being part of this journey. Whether you're planning a massive studio or just connecting two Volcas on a coffee table, I hope FluxRig helps you make more noise."
